Looking At Landcare (11/10/2019) – Pink Walk, Wellness Workshops & Breakfast on Saturday

Hi Landcarer’s

Thanks so much for all of your registrations for the Pink Up Parkes Landcare Walk and Wellness Morning on Saturday!

Pictured are Michael Chambers (Parkes Shire Council Environmental Officer); Elsie Mahon (Local Legend & Gardener); Jenny Harris (Jenz Yogalates); Adele Bintley (Inlink – Sponsor) and Marg Applebee (Landcare Coordinator)

If you haven’t booked and you are planning to attend….you need to do it now! We need to make sure that we have enough delicious breakfast for everyone. We want to make sure that everyone is safe and we want to make sure that everyone has fun! What makes it even more fun is that it is totally Free!

We are doing this to raise awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurses. As mentioned previously, our local nurse works over Parkes, Forbes Condobolin and out to Peak Hill. She has a decent area to cover and a lot of people in our area who have benefited from her skills and care. You don’t have to be a Parkes resident to be involved….you just need to register!

We are thrilled to add a new inclusion to our program! Jenz Yogalates is now running a program on Saturday morning from 7.30am in Cooke Park before the walk. This is a fantastic opportunity to stretch and limber up that body before the walk.

If you are just joining us for the walk, breakfast and wellness activities, you can meet us at the Elvis Statue at 8am and you will be checked off from our registration list. We will have our photo with Elvis (of course) and head off to PAC Park Waterwise Garden via East Street.

At the Garden we will enjoy breakfast courtesy of InLink. They have a feast prepared to meet any hungry walker’s appetite and we also have beautiful granola from Sweet Nourishment!

Please feel free to bring a back pack with you with anything you need. Keep Cups are welcome for your tea and coffee, but we will have you covered.

We are pleased to have Elsie Mahon overseeing our propagation station and gardening activities with Michael Chambers, Environmental Officer with Parkes Shire Council. We will have some lovely giveaway plants for walkers to take home to pink up their gardens.

Jess Fahey from Kerin Physio Co is thrilled to be part of our morning activities, providing an alternative session to the gardening. Jess is keen to share some of her knowledge about building and maintaining strength.

You can book in for this AMAZING FREE MORNING via www.centralwestlachlanlandcare.org, twitter, facebook or Instagram @cwllandcare or RSVP to Marg at cwllpo@hotmail.com or texting 0418 611 053.
