Central West Lachlan Landcare were successful in their application to host three consecutive Skillset Green Army Teams during 2016 and 2017. The Teams consisted of six to eight team members between the ages of 17 – 24 who worked on environmentally based projects in the CWLL area (Parkes and Forbes Shires).

The Green Army Programme provided employment and training for the Team and made a valuable contribution to our rural communities, with the group undertaking work such as re-vegetation, seed collection, weed management and much more, with a focus on Grassy Box Woodlands and Weeping Myall Woodlands.

CWLL enjoyed working with the young team and we are thrilled to be part of a Programme that addresses re-vegetation of endangered woodlands, youth unemployment, training, social interaction, teamwork and much more.
