Hi Landcarers
The count down is on! Two more weeks until Costa is with us in the Central West!
If you haven’t purchased your tickets, you need to purchase them now. At our last dinner I had people calling me on the day looking for a spare ticket. I hate to disappoint people, so don’t leave it too late!
Costa will be joining us for Eco Day during the day on Friday, 28 May. There will be no time for ticket sales then. Our fabulous caterers Eat Your Greens will have dinner prepping.
We are thrilled to be expanding Eco Day to make it accessible to more children in the Parkes and Forbes Shires. All Year 5 students have been invited to join us at Eco Day. We have some fantastic workshop providers lined up and we are looking forward to hearing from Costa during our afternoon session.
The expansion of the day is with the support of Central West Local Land Services Resilient Communities Small Grants, Landcare NSW Working Together Small Grants Program and Country Arts Support Program funding, the Forbes Show Society….and with the support of fantastic volunteers including our Central West Lachlan Landcare Committee.
This is a big day ahead of our fabulous dinner at Town Hall. No doubt we will have some fun stories to tell from the day with 350 children. We have a lasting living legacy planting planned during the day and we can’t wait to share that with you all.
Costa has a way of relating to people young and old, gardener or observer. His enthusiasm and encouragement, his knowledge of regenerative agriculture and holistic practices that deal with the issues arising from a rapidly urbanising world are relevant to us all.
We hope that you will be able to join us for a fantastic evening at Forbes Town Hall. The new work that has been undertaken in the Concourse is looking fabulous! We are so excited to be hosting another dinner.
To finish off Costa’s visit, he will be joining us at the Forbes Riverside Community Garden as part of their Open Day, with an opportunity for the community to be involved.
Tickets for the Dinner can be found here!
