Looking At Landcare (23/4/2021) – Tickets Now Available for Landcare Dinner with Costa!

Hi Landcarers

We are thrilled to release tickets for our Landcare Dinner with Costa Georgiadis!

One third of the tickets have been taken up already, so we are encouraging those wishing to attend, to get in early.

After the success of our Landcare dinner at Forbes Town Hall in 2018, the Central West Lachlan Landcare (CWLL) Committee are pleased to once again join with members of the Parkes and Forbes Shires during this special event.

Also joining us to profile two other fabulous projects, are Mr Guy Webb, Managing Director of Soil C Quest and Dr Karen Ritchie, Chairperson of the Forbes Arts Society.

We are looking forward to many other special guests joining us, including Landcare NSW CEO, Dr Adrian Zammit.

Our Master of Ceremonies is once again, Mr Geoff Rice, AWN Langlands Hanlon Licensee and auctioneer. Our delicious dinner has been entrusted to Eat Your Greens.

Costa is a landscape architect, environmental educator and television presenter who has an all-consuming passion for plants and people. He knows how to bring out the best in each and takes great pleasure in bringing them together.

As co-creator and host of Costa’s Garden Odyssey for SBS, he caught the attention of a nation. Since 2013, Costa has continued his journey as the much-loved host of one of the ABC’s most iconic and Logie award-winning programs, Gardening Australia. His presenting work with Gardening Australia has been acknowledged with a Silver Logie.

Costa is also involved with regenerative agriculture and holistic practices that deal with the issues arising from a rapidly urbanising world.

2021 sees Costa continue with Gardening Australia and proudly support Junior Landcare in a national ambassadorial role.

During his time with us in Forbes, Costa will be presenting at Schools Eco Day. In 2021, we have the opportunity to expand Eco Day to make it accessible to all Year 5 students across Parkes and Forbes Shires.

To finish off Costa’s visit, he will be joining us at the Forbes Riverside Community Garden as part of their Open Day, with an opportunity for the community to be involved.

Tickets for the Dinner can be found via our website or social media. Links for registration for the Garden Open Day can also be found there.

The Garden are also raffling two tickets to the dinner, available at the Forbes Farmer’s Markets this Saturday.
