HOMEGROWN PARKES

Central West Lachlan Landcare are pleased to be working with Parkes Community Arts and Parkes Shire Council to get people back into their gardens and live their best life! Homegrown Parkes events have been developed to connect, engage and encourage our community.

Thank you to our attendees on Saturday, 21 March 2026. We would love to hear from you. Please share your feedback via this link.

Our next Homegrown Parkes events will be held on Saturday, 12 September 2026 and Saturday, 3 April 2027.

We expect to have EOI open for our September event in May 2026.

These events would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers from Central West Lachlan Landcare and Parkes Community Arts. If you have thought about joining a volunteer group like these, now is the time!

Of course, Homegrown Parkes is supported by a Committee of people committed to improving the wellbeing of our community.

These events is not possible without support from Parkes Shire Council. It takes a team behind the scenes to prepare and recover from events in the Park itself and we work closely with Council Events staff to ensure that we are making the most of opportunities for each event.

Ahead of our 2026 and 2027 events, you can start planning for veggies and fruit, plants and preserves that you can share at Crop Swap; follow Homegrown Parkes on Facebook and Instagram, and….talk to others about getting involved or maybe have a ‘produce challenge’ with your friends.

For further information, go to our Homegrown Parkes Facebook or Instagram page.
