Looking At Landcare (2/4/2026) – Homegrown Parkes Feedback Welcome over the Easter Break

Thank to those who have provided Homegrown Parkes feedback!

So that you have a bit of extra time over the Easter long weekend to complete your feedback, we have extended the deadline. We love to hear your suggestions.

If you attended the Homegrown Parkes event on Saturday, 21 March 2026 let us know your thoughts. The link can be found here or via our social media.

We have some lovely Homegrown Parkes gifts for several people drawn from survey respondents.

Our stallholder survey has also been distributed. Both of the surveys now close on Friday, 10 April 2026.

Some other good news! We have already set our date for our Autumn 2027 event, which will be held on Saturday, 3 April. Yes, it is on the cusp of Daylight Savings changeover, but we are looking forward to a cooler day for our stallholders and guests.

Of course, we have our Spring event to look forward to still this year! Our next Homegrown Parkes event is scheduled for 12 September 2026. We have brought it forward a bit this year….again, hoping for some cooler weather and working around other events in the area.

The ethos behind the ‘homegrown’ concept is more about quality and creating a space where people can feel relaxed. Whilst having 80 stalls in our park would provide a lot of diversity, it is really important that we maintain a standard that focusses on promoting local and regional businesses, not for profits etc.

Once again, these events would not be possible without many volunteers contributing on the day. Thank you to our Central West Lachlan Landcare volunteers and Parkes Community Arts volunteers. Thanks to the Parkes Shire Concert Band, Parkes School of Dance, Parkes Music and Dramatic Society, Parkes High School Guwal Dance Group and Cameron Sharp and our Fijian friends from Parkes and Forbes.

We estimate that our EOI will open up towards the end of May. Please keep an eye on our social media and in our local papers. All stallholders have to provide proof of insurance and food vendors have to provide their Food Safety Supervisor Certification.

If you would like to keep up to date with Homegrown Parkes and other Landcare activities, follow our social media or join our newsletter mailing list via the CWLL website.
