Nadia (and Phil) will be showing you how simple it is to make pasta at home – fresh and delicious!

Making is from scratch, they will demonstrate forming the pasta traditionally and electrically, so that whether you are hoping to make taglietelli or tortellini, you will leave with the know how to make your own pasta at home.

Nadia has also generously offered to cook and share samples at the demonstration. The Parkes community are in for a real treat!

The Donato team will be presenting in the Cooke Park Pavilion from 12.30pm on Saturday, 16 March. Let us know you will be attending here.

We are also fortunate to welcome back Bill Tink from Netwaste to provide a demonstration on Waste and Recycling. He will cover off the tricky queries that many of us having including the basics of what goes in which bin, why we can’t recycling coffee cups, how you can reduce odours with smart bin use.

This demonstration was highly requested in our feedback. Definitely a workshop for the whole family. Bill will be presenting from 11am in the Cooke Park Pavilion. Let us know you will be attending here.

The presentations will kick off at 9am with a workshop brought together under the People Led Prevention Project, assisting our community with disaster preparedness ideas. This workshop will bring together representatives from our local emergency services.

We hope that as a result, workshop attendees will go away with new ideas and a plan for their own home and property that provides further security and peace of mind moving ahead.

Also under the People Led Prevention Project, at the conclusion of the day, we will be running a bus trip with fabulous regional landscape designer, Sally Bourne to look at options for landscape design to build climate resilient landscapes. Find out more in next week’s column!

The People Led Prevention project focuses on behaviour change for natural hazard risk reduction. We are so thrilled to be able to consolidate our emergency service providers into one space to provide information to the community, planning options and increase disaster resilience and community connectivity.
