Thanks to the amazing people that have responded to our Homegrown Parkes survey.
We want to hear from you to assist with forming our next event on Saturday, 15 March 2024.
We have exciting news that we will share next week regarding our celebrity guest for Homegrown Parkes Autumn event.
We have received nearly 30 responses, but we want more! Your feedback has been fantastic!
You can find the survey link here.
Keep in mind moving forward that we can’t deliver every request at every event. Events do cost money, although we run a very tight ship. Landcare covers my time to contribute. I contribute my personal time as well as all of the volunteer members of our committee. It would not be possible without volunteers.
I have received a few comments about people wanting fresh vegetables…..we do too, but finding that person or people is challenging…..but I am on the case!
Of course, anyone can join in Crop Swap! Start planning now! If you want your fix of fresh produce, head down to the Library Courtyard on Saturday, 18 November.
The feedback link it up on our Homegrown Parkes Facebook page, so if you have an idea….and a suggestion for who could deliver it, let us know.
As mentioned, we have a very special guest joining us in March. He….yes, he, will also be joining us at Eco Day and for the Forbes Riverside Open Garden on Sunday, 17 March.
The Homegrown Parkes Committee, made up of members of Central West Lachlan Landcare, Parkes Community Arts and Parkes Shire Council contributors thank you for making this event fun, inviting and educational for our community.
If you attended the event, we would love your feedback. The link for feedback can be found on our facebook page or on our Central West Lachlan Landcare website under Homegrown Parkes. Stallholders and food vendors have received an additional link for feedback.
Have you thought about volunteering at Forbes Riverside Garden, or even becoming a member? Forbes is extremely lucky to have the Garden and amazing volunteers working away on Reymond Street, so make sure that you support your local not for profit.
Don’t forget we will still have Forbes Farmer’s Markets next month to feed your homegrown tastebuds. Follow Forbes Farmer’s Markets on their social media for more updates.
Please don’t forget to provide your feedback for Homegrown Parkes!
